Setting up a new Moodle Site
The following instructions are a brief outline. More detailed instructions can be found on the Moodle Installation guide:- Ensure that a domain name has been registered and pointed to the approprate DNS
- Ensure that the DNS has been configure to point to the server
- Ensure that an appropriate virtual domain (i.e. "courses" subdomain) has been created with Virtualmin
- Get a standard Moodle package. It can be downloaded Moodle website: http://download.moodle.org/
- Unzip the package to the web accessible directory on the subdomain you have created.
- Log in to phpmyAdmin and create a new database with a username and password.
- Go to http://yourserver/install.php or http://yourserver/subfolders/install.php to start the installation
- Enter in the required information and it should be autoconfigured.
